#10. The Otto Lewis Bakery

Otto Lewis arrived in Del Norte in 1880.

Otto Lewis purchased the stone bakery on Spruce Street in October of 1883 and added an 18 by 22 foot brick addition.  The 1882 J.J. Stoner map drawing shows the bakery building, looking much as it does now.

He and his wife Maggie operated a business together until her death in 1902.  Otto evidently turned this business over to his son William.  William married Minnie Keck.  Their daughter Mabel married Charles Frye.  The bakery was sold later and then the building became a private home.
