The Rio Grande County Museum will be opening A Walk Through Time; The Old Spanish Trail 20th Anniversary exhibit on May 10. This exhibit features a look at the unique and in-depth heritage of the San Luis Valley beginning with our prehistoric and indigenous heritage.
Come see a pictural tour of local pictographs and petroglyphs from around the Valley while you wander through the newly redesigned Rio Grande County Museum. Stepping into the main gallery, visitors will walk a timeline that further explains the San Luis Valley’s past and everything that played a part in creating what we have here today.
Take a walk through time as we celebrate what once was silver and turn it into gold.
