Baker House Collection

Rio Grande County Museum is pleased to announce the opening of the Baker House Collection. Local resident Ed Baker was generous enough to donate a large collection he found behind a false wall after remodeling his home located in Del Norte. After knocking down a false wall, Mr. Baker was astonished to find a collection belonging to the Egan/Schaffer family who resided in his home in the late 1800s. Come see this perfectly preserved time capsule that gives a unique and colorful look into the life of one Del Norte family and learn about their lives through the years!
